A spray tan is a method of tanning your skin using a colorless liquid called DHA, which comes from sugar cane. DHA reacts with the amino acids in the top layer of your skin, changing its color temporarily. Since this top skin layer constantly sheds, using sunless products does not damage your skin.

 Spray Tan FAQs

  • To achieve the perfect tan, I need your cooperation. Your spray tan artist contributes 50%, and you contribute the other 50%. Together, we can achieve a beautiful glow by following these steps.

Prep Reminder: Your spray tan should be the last step after any other aesthetic services.

24 Hours Before Your Appointment: Complete these:

    • Wax or shave

    • Manicure and pedicure

    • Facials (avoid intense ones)

    • Botox

    • Hair color

    • Lash extensions

    • Brow tints

If you use strong skincare products like retinol, stop a few days before your spray tan as they can affect the result.

Night Before or Days Prior: Exfoliate and moisturize your entire body, which is crucial for the best tan. Avoid using loofahs, as they may not provide even exfoliation, and avoid Dove products.

  • Day of Your Spray Tan: Come Ready!

    • Remove all makeup and deodorant

    • Take off all jewelry

    • Wear dark, loose, long-sleeved clothing

    • Avoid tight-fitting clothes

    • Wear flip-flops or sliders (depending on the weather)

This is a safe space! My main goal is to ensure you have the best experience while getting your glow. You can wear whatever makes you comfortable in the tent—topless, a bra and panties, or nothing at all.

  • A Glow tan lasts 7 to 10 days with proper aftercare. Keep your tan dry while it develops to avoid streaks. Depending on your technician's advice, you can sleep in the solution. Wear long sleeves and pants to protect your skin. During the first rinse, only use warm water and gently wash off excess bronzer until the water runs clear. Pat your skin dry and moisturize it. Moisturize twice daily after rinsing for an even fade and longer-lasting tan. Avoid heavy exercise or sweating for 24 hours. After 10-12 hours, you can use body soap (not Dove) in your second shower and wash your hair. Drink water to help your tan last longer. Enjoy your Glow! Contact us with any questions.

  • To get a lasting tan for your vacation, follow these steps:

Book Your Spray Tan: Schedule it 1 to 2 days before your trip. Consider your flight time to decide between an express tan (the night before) or a regular tan (2 days before).

Use Hydration Spray: This keeps your tan vibrant and your skin hydrated.

Exfoliate and Moisturize: Do this a night or a few days before your tan. Avoid loofahs and Dove products for exfoliation.

Sunscreen: Use spray tan-friendly sunscreen like Sun Bum or Coola. Reapply every two hours, as spray tans don’t have SPF.

Moisturize Daily: Pack body cream and apply twice a day. Good options include Neutrogena Hydro Boost, Hempz, Aveeno, and Cerave.

Limit Water Exposure: Don't stay in the ocean or pool for too long; it can fade your tan. Rinse off afterward to remove chlorine or salt.

Stay Dry: If you sweat, use a towel to stay dry.

Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water!
